printop is a little tool for administrators (or users) of big networks
to give them better control and insights in their printers.
It is a graphical interface to the unix commands lpc, lprm and lpq.
It uses the entries in /etc/printcap, displays them in a menu, handles
control commands for queuing and printing and sends them to remote
printers (to be precise: to their hosts) if necessary.

An easy way to see if something's wrong with a printer and to stop it,
start it or what else can be done over the net.

printop is written in tcl/tk and was created with some help of the
interface-designer xf.

Before you do anything with these files see the file COPYRIGHT.

Have fun and enjoy...
